You most likely experience SIBO or Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth.

It’s likely that every day is bloating day! My clients regularly tell me they look 6 months pregnant.

You wake with a flat stomach but you regularly bloat from the first meal of the day …no matter what you eat!  You either can’t poop …or just barely make it to the bathroom in time.

Your gut rarely feels comfortable, it makes embarrassing noises, eating out is a minefield  and it’s likely that you’ve reduced your ‘foods you can eat’ list to a point where eating is no longer enjoyable or sustainable.  You’re not even sure WHICH foods cause the problems because it seems like EVERY food is a dangerzone..

This quiz is the first step to identify where the issue might lie, so what now?

Your next best step is to undertake the SIBO Breath test for accurate confirmation of SIBO.

This test will also inform you of the type of SIBO that you experience.

HERE’S 3 QUICK TIPS TO HELP YOU FIND A LITTLE RELIEF FROM THAT PAINFUL BLOATING:

  1. Avoid or Greatly Reduce the following foods:
Garlic and Onion (do your best to avoid)
Starchy vegetables like potato, sweet potato, jerusalem artichokes
Apples and apricots (especially), but you may need to greatly reduce your fruit intake temporarily.
    Wheat products (temporarily)
    Prebiotics like Inulin
    Alcohol (especially Beer)
    Fruit juices and Kombucha
    Dairy products (temporarily)

  2. Fibre and probiotics are not everyone’s friend.
It’s likely that you’ve been told that you just need a little more fibre but for people with SIBO, fibre often makes EVERYTHING worse. It can be a similar situation for probiotics (but not always).

Give your tummy a little rest from lots of fibre and carbohydrates. Take out the fibre supplements and temporarily visiting a Low Carb diet can bring some rapid, temporary relief.

  3. Keep a food diary.
Once you have removed the foods above, try keeping a food diary initially.  This will help you to identify extra foods that trigger your symptoms.  Once you’ve identified your food triggers, try reducing or avoiding them.

In my professional opinion, you’re going to need some help at this point. You can’t stay on this super restricted diet forever!
